The Problem

The Problem

Researchers are engineering more proteins than ever before. Large Language Models like ESM-3 and AlphaFold create proteins that have never existed before. Bringing these proteins from the computer to the lab for further characterization requires expression. The steps of expression: cloning, transformation, induction, and purification haven't benefited from processor power. No, these linear steps must be completed and often repeated to yield protein in assay-able quantities. Repeated cycles take months and can sometimes yield nothing. Time and resources are wasted.

The Solution

The Solution

GrindBio uses modern tech in novel ways to maximize the chance of soluble protein from E. coli. Bioreactors have been around for decades, but only recently have they acquired the electronics and data-gathering capabilities to monitor the concentration. Expression vectors with traditional and recently-published fusion partners have been designed to readily accommodate a protein of interest. We combinatorially combine your gene of interest into expression vectors. Robots, high-throughput technologies and qPCR can sample many points in a period of time to understand how mRNA expression bends toward solubility or inclusion bodies. Together, we reduce months-long grind to three weeks.

Input

You provide the protein sequence.
